Happy Wednesday! You know what reaching this lovely better-than-half-way-through-the-working-week day means? That’s right, WIAW with the lovely Jenn!
Today I thought I’d mix things up and show you how my eats vary depending on whether I’m at work or have the weekend off. So it’s another double edition WIAW – hope you enjoy!
First off, food from Sunday. We had a really chilled day, no exercising apart from a stroll around the shops. Lots of biscuits and choc. And detox tea.
Tea: Started off the day with a Dr Stuart’s Detox Tea
Breakfast: Pink Lady apple with almond butter and cacao nibs (plus three more spoonfuls from the jar), another detox tea
Coffee: A free Waitrose black Americano
Lunch: Boston Tea Party chips, homemade coleslaw and courgette, beetroot and pine nut veggie burger with hummus.
Dinner: Spinach, avocado, tomato, cucumber salad with balsamic and olive oil dressing, cod and sweet chilli sauce
This started off with a cross trainer session at the gym. I ended up shooting out the office before breakfast, meaning I didn’t get to grab anything to eat until 11am! Not cool.
Breakfast: An organic braeburn apple, PB and cacao nibs with herbal tea
Snack: Many many handfuls of beond nuggets
Lunch: Fish sushi, fruit salad and yoghurt (which I didn’t have time to eat)
Coffee: A Kenco Millicano cup after lunch
Snack: Total 0% yoghurt with fruit salad and a herbal tea
Snack at home: Shared a smoked salmon and soy, wasabi and ginger dip pack with James
Dinner: Sweet potato fries with almond butter, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and cod
Dessert: A cacao nib and date shortbread heart with almond butter, herbal tea
Late night treat: 120g of beautiful chocolate truffles
Please excuse the fact I’ve had a raging chocolate craving for the past two days!
* How does your eating change between work and play? Do you tend to buy prepared foods or make your own?
I like to prep my breakfast each morning but then it is down to timings. I always bring soup to the office but quite often it can remain there for a good few days as I don’t have the time to heat it up. Crazy life of a journalist for you!
